Replacing the Drive Belt | Belt-Type Continuously Variable Speed Drive

2026/05/07

This video demonstrates how to remove and install the transmission belt used in our belt-type continuously variable transmission (CVT).
The video features the ANW-02NHN horizontal model.
The transmission mechanism works by manually rotating the handle on the drive-side transmission to open and close the pulley surface. This action causes the pulley surface on the driven-side transmission—
which contains a built-in spring—to follow suit, thereby changing the belt pitch between the drive and driven sides. Although the model featured in the video is a relatively small size with a motor output of 0.2 kW
, the replacement process is generally similar for other sizes.
However, for models with higher motor outputs, the built-in spring on the driven side is stronger, so more force may be required.
Additionally, if your unit is not a standard specification, this method may not always be applicable. If you are unable to perform the replacement as shown in the video
, please do not force the issue; instead, contact our sales department for assistance.
