Electromagnetically Actuated Clutch—Flange-Mounted (Wall-Mounted) Model
An electromagnetic coil, known as a "stator," is mounted on a solid object such as a wall. When an electric current is passed through the stator, it generates an electromagnetic force, which transmits power to a rotating member. A ring-shaped leaf spring is attached to the rotating member; when the current is applied, the leaf spring is drawn toward the stator, engaging the rotating member. Although the leaf spring moves axially, it transmits power in the direction of rotation.
