This component uses electromagnetic force to transmit and disconnect power. Typically, when starting or stopping a machine, the power supply must be turned on or off. However, by placing this clutch between the power source and the machine and energizing the clutch coil, power can be transmitted to or disconnected from the machine while the power source remains active.

Bearing-mounted (shaft-mounted) model

High performance is achieved through the use of a constant-load leaf spring. It requires no alignment and is mounted on the shaft to prevent the stator from rotating.
