Rubber and Resin Couplings

三木プーリのゴム・樹脂カップリング 製品シリーズ一覧集合写真(防振・衝撃吸収・軸継手)

These couplings utilize the elasticity of rubber and resin to offer a wide range of applications, and we offer a comprehensive lineup compatible with diesel engines, induction motors, and even servo motors. The elasticity of rubber and resin not only compensates for misalignment but also absorbs vibrations and shocks from the drive source, helping to protect mechanical equipment.

List of Rubber and Resin Couplings

Q

[StarFlex] What is its lifespan?

A

When used mainly for power transmission, a service life of over 10 years can be expected if properly selected according to the catalog. Service life varies with operating conditions and mounting misalignment. Please contact us for details.

Q

[StarFlex] Is it possible to use it beyond the rated torque?

A

As long as the maximum torque is not exceeded, up to 10 starts per day is acceptable for an 8-hour operating cycle. This assumption is based on the starting torque of a motor with a low frequency of starts and stops.

Q

[Star Flex] What is the Loose Fit Element?

A

The torque transmission surface of the element is designed with a convex profile (crowning), which allows for greater tolerance in installation. Additionally, the fit with the hub is intentionally loose, making assembly easier and reducing labor hours.

Q

[StarFlex] Does the no-backlash mechanism degrade over time?

A

Starflex achieves zero backlash by pre-compressing the element, but resin aging and deformation may reduce zero-backlash performance over time. For long-term use, a higher service factor is recommended. For higher precision, use the Servoflex Series.

Q

[CentaFlex] Resonance occurs in a device powered by a diesel engine. Is there a solution?

A

Q

What is the "pre-compression structure" of the [CentaFlex] CF-A model?

A

Rubber lasts longer under compression than tension, and pre-compression—applying load after partial compression—further improves durability. The CF-A model is assembled with pre-compression applied to the rubber element for long service life.

Q

[CentaFlex] About CentaLock

A

The hub can be mounted using a center-lock mechanism. Tightening the clamping screws deforms the hub spline section and presses it against the shaft splines for secure fixation. Each screw generates approx. 1 ton of axial holding force.
